Place Making workshop at Place/Ladywell

Conducted next to a demolition site of a former south London leisure centre.

The workshop was situated within a consultation space as part of an ongoing urban regeneration program that aimed to enable local people to speculate ideas for the future site, through physical forms and creative thinking. Excavated artefacts and debris from the site were recycled as modelling materials and bonded using Sugru to form new imagined and designed objects.

The workshop was a way for local people to engage directly with the site and examined alternative ways to engage peoples thinking around the new development, whilst extracting their conceptual ideas for these forgotten and discarded materials.

Created with Jeff Lambert and Sophie Hardcastle. Thanks to Sugru and Lewisham Council
